About Studio Wiss

I’m Alexandra Wiss, and I run this small-batch pottery studio in Tammisaari. Each piece is crafted with care and love in my own studio.

My love for creating with clay started in childhood, and my passion has only grown since. My years in Stockholm saw my passion for wheel-thrown ceramics blossom, leading me to pursue my dream of owning a workshop. About 1.5 years ago, I made the bold move from my banking career and city life to the quaint town of Tammisaari, establishing my studio in the very place where my ceramic journey began.

I specialize in functional stoneware ceramics, created predominantly on the pottery wheel. Each piece is distinctive, characterized by clean lines, playful elements, and simple geometric patterns. My work is inspired by the small joys of daily life—like the comfort of a well-made cup enhancing the taste of your morning coffee.
